This morning I spent a few hours writing people on LinkedIn internal messages.

Whomever I saw with "open to work" sign on their profile I reached out. I felt the Lord lead me to let them know that they are not alone and with a change of perspective, their situation can change. I shared how I too have been growing throught this and see now that I have been released. Reminding them that they too were released. The loss of job was actually a blessing. An opportunity for them to tune in to the little voice within and follow their passions. They have been given the gift of time to pursue the longings of their heart.

I had the opportunity to speak with one of those individuals today. He asked for my number and he shared with me how he loves to write books and movie scripts. VERY different than the career path he's been on for 30 years of his life. He lives in Hollywood and has been waiting for his big break all the while pursuing a position to pay the bills. He, like I, have been spent the past 2 1/2 years looking for a position. The job hunt is so OVERWHELMING, discouraging, exhausting, rejecting... They say this job market is worse than that i 2008/ 2009 - The Great Recession. If I'm honest, this is the lowest place I have ever been. I cried so much, begging, pleading, hoping and wishing for something to change. All the while I see now He was developing me into the Character I need to be inorder to recieve the life he has in mind for me.

Have you ever notice the more you try it just doesn't come together. No matter how hard you push or how much you strive, it just refuses to budge. However, the moment you finally surrender that's when things begin to move. Something shifts. The breakthru happens because you begin to align and trust the process. Most of us do this and call it Giving Up. But truly you are surrendering. I love the analogy some use about sinking in the ocean, you can either kick and swim yourself to death or choose to float. Surrender. When you lay on your back and just be it is relaxing. It allows you to rest and catch your breath. The breakthru happens when we tune into JOY. Aligning with all that we are grateful for, trusting that in due time, it will come to pass. Believing that the Creator of this Universe is who says he is. Live giver. He gives us breath.

Going through this job loss has really taken a toll on my identity. I have experienced depression, anxiety and every other negative emotion you can feel. When I take a step back now, I feel as though I was shedding. Shedding the OLD ME and stepping into the new me. I've been looking for a position, a J.O.B., while aligning with my purpose. Recently, I decided to pour all of my efforts into believing for my dreams becoming a reality. Standing firm on my faith and the promises found in His word. In the bible it states that God has a plan and purpose. He gives us the desires of our hearts. He orders our steps. He makes room for our gifts. He will never leave nor forsake us and in due time we will reep what He has sown. Trust and See.

As I'm writing these words a prompt popped on my phone for the Song: What A God / Awesome God - Bethel Music "He found me at my weakest... he is more than I ever imagined, he is Faithful to Deliver, He is The promise keeper. You are my everything! What a God What a God!! If the highest place I'll reach is at your feet - I've done it all. Your love saved my life. God, No treasure of this life will satisy. You are my everything! What a GOD! What a God. What a God."

I KNOW YOU WILL GIVE ME THE DESIRES OF MY HEART! You are my everything. OUR GOD IS AN AWESOME GOD. HE REIGNS from heaven above. OUR GOD is an awesome God! Give him Glory! Your will be done Lord. May I just be the vessel you chose to use. From glory to glory.

May I leave you with this: When you are lost, be still and KNOW go within. That is where you will find Him. Trust the little voice, be obedeint to it's call He is the WAY! No matter how ridiculous it is, do what it is He is asking of you. And I promise, through your obedience HE WILL DELIVER your breakthrough. And you will see the Promised Land. The kingdom of heaven is within. You hold the keys. There is nothing to get and no where to go. Just be. Just believe! Move when he tells you to.
