On Saturday, I went to St. Pete with a friend. We hung at Jimmy B's to listen to live music and watch the sunset. It was very chilly but exactly what my soul needed.
She did not want to go home, me I didn't care either way so we headed off to Sunset Rodeo to listen to more live music.
Around 10 we decided to hang it up and head home. Upon arrival I thought for sure I had grabbed all my stuff from her car, but no. Soon after she left I realized my purse was still in her car. I was going to head over and pick up, but my keys were in there too. Needless to say she was not happy about having to turn around after getting home thinking she could relax and get ready for bed.
While I was waiting for her, I turned on the kitchen light and to my surprise found carpenter ants. Every where I looked there was one. I started to smash them with my shoe. I thought to myself, I do NOT want to go to bed with these guys running around. But no matter how quickly I smashed them, another appeared, then another... so I decided it was time to get the vaccum. Same deal, I'd suck them up and more would appear. Then, I thought to myself, there must be something to this. Afterall I am the author of a book about signs and wonders and it was obvious he was trying to get my attention so I decided to look it up. Surely, there had to be a reason!

I have been in survival mode so this really spoke to my soul.
Prepare for the season you have been praying for. Work on the foundation.
My finances have really been challenged in this season. I have had my daily bread met, but it's definately been a struggle. This is the hardest I've had to work for the least amount of money.
I believe what he's showing me is how to manage / steward what he's giving and most importantly to be GRATEFUL for all things.

2. Unity and Relationships
Ants work together. Who supports you? Who drains yu? Are there people in my life that I need to release? Is there anyone I need to forgive? Each season requires a new you and new connections. It is very important that those you choose to align yourself with are BELIEVERS. Especially because this season requires you to walk by FAITH.
Scout ants you should not crush them, it releases alarm pheromones that signal distress to other colony members. Rather than scaring them away, this chemical message acts like a dinner bell, attracting more ants to investigate.

It was "awe"some, after I got the message, they disappeared. Not like magic, but rather I sucked up the last few after I said thank you. and no more came.
I finally felt it was safe to get ready and go to bed.
As soon as I woke up in the morning I was determined to disect the true meaning of what God was trying to tell me. I thought, I will do this instead of going to church. I began writing down the word: Discipline and Commitment when I received a text from Jenny my friend from PLW asking if we were coming to church this am, she would save us a seat.
I took that as a sign - GO TO CHURCH
He continued to speak to me there about Faithfulness, Stewardship and Trusting Him.
I went up for prayer and the couple who prayed with me walked through what I'm walking thru and came out on the otherside with a Testimony and gave me comfort and hope! God knows what we need and he's always on time. I don't see a way, but I KNOW He is the waymaker!!!
The ants came to remind me to be Disciplined and examine the hidden corners of my life. KNOWING just like a colony of ants is working behind the scenes - we cannot see them, but we know they are there. The scout ants were the sign were showing up to remind me that God is working behind the scenes.
