The Favor of God

chosen and set apart

God's favor is a gift. It is not something we can earn. It is something that is freely given and activated through our faith in God's word and His promises. It's all about Him, not you- and what you can do.

(Ephesians 2:9) For it is by God's grace that you have been saved through faith. It is not the result of your own efforts, but God's gift, so that no one can boast about it.

I used to think that I needed to work for my salvation. If... then... That if only I was good enough and found righteous in His eyes, then, I would be approved. But that could NOT be farther from the truth. It's not about us at all it is about who he is.

The definition of favor is to be chosen or preferred. You are chosen. To be chosen is to be selected. For instance if you are chosen to be on a team, ultimately it is up to you to decide if it is something you want to do. You would need to walk over to join the group leader and align with them on the vision. And that is essentially that is what God is asking us to do. Do you believe? If so, then: decide, align and activate your faith in him. Remember we don't chose we are chosen. He has handpicked us, assigned and aligned us for a greater purpose. But he asks us to trust him.

His favor opens doors of opportunity that we could not open ourselves, His favor turns opposition into support. His favor helps us land the promotion, make the list or seal the deal. His favor makes a way when we do not see one.

How do you find favor? Through obedience. It states in Psalm 84:11 No good thing does God withould from those who walk uprightly. When we recieve Jesus as our Lord and Savior we open the door to favor. To the abundance of blessings that he has with our name on it. It is not something that we can unlock through performance or praying a certain way. It is a gift we choose to recieve it. Let me ask you, do you believe?
